NADA to Provide Rs 1 Million Relief Aid Following Floods, NADA Auto Show to Continue

The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA) has announced a financial contribution of Rs 1 million to support relief and recovery efforts following the devastating floods in several districts.

The association expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and extensive property damage caused by the severe flooding of the Bhotekoshi River on the morning of Bhadra 10, 2083, affecting Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan.

NADA said the Rs 1 million contribution will be deposited into the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support immediate relief and post-disaster recovery efforts. The association also extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the disaster.

Calling for collective action during the national crisis, NADA has urged automobile businesses across Nepal to come together and support government-led rescue and relief operations.

The association said the government, private sector, business community and general public all have a shared responsibility in responding to the disaster. NADA also expressed appreciation for the efforts of security agencies, local administrations and government authorities involved in rescue and relief operations.

The flooding has occurred while the NADA Auto Show 2026 is underway at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Despite the disaster, NADA has confirmed that the ongoing auto show will continue as scheduled.

According to NADA, maintaining economic activity while responding to the disaster is important, and the continuation of the auto show is part of keeping economic activities moving during the challenging period.

NADA has reiterated its commitment to supporting the government and contributing to relief, recovery and reconstruction efforts. The association has also appealed to stakeholders from across the automobile sector to extend support to affected communities.
